I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working under the supervision of Dr. Brenda Bruner and Dr. Roxana Vernescu. I work alongside Alyssa Bedard of the North Bay Parry Sound Public Health Unit on the Planet Youth Nipissing project, which uses the Icelandic Prevention Model to reduce alcohol/substance use and promote well-being among youth in North Bay, West Nipissing, and the surrounding areas. I have a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Penn State University, and I have more than a decade of experience teaching undergraduate psychology courses at various universities in the United States. Prior to joining NU, I was a Research Associate at the University of Cincinnati, where I conducted needs assessments and program evaluations for various community organizations and government agencies. I am committed to helping youth achieve their goals and find their purpose. I have been a volunteer for various youth-oriented organizations over the years, including Daughters Beyond Incarceration, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Court Appointed Special Advocates.
