The Northeastern Ontario Research Team for Health and Physical Activity (NORTH PA) Lab is located in the Centre for Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University. The lab is home to Dr. Brenda Bruner, Dr. Mark Bruner, Dr. Barbi Law and Dr. Kristina Karvinen along with several motivated graduate and undergraduate students.
Our lab is dedicated to advancing research in a broad range of physical activity, health promotion and sport psychology topics. Areas of particular research interest include community based health promotion, positive youth development in sport, team building, school based physical activity interventions, the relationship between physical activity and cancer, as well as modelling and imagery interventions in sport, exercise, injury rehabilitation and physical education settings.
